During the Olympics I decided I would not go into Vancouver and face all the downtown crowds. I don't do well in large crowds after a horrible anxiety attack I had years ago while I was at the Polar Bear swim at English Bay. I never thought I was much of a sports fan except for the REALLY big events but I'm surprised at how much I've enjoyed watching it on TV and how emotional I got when we won the ice dancing gold - I nearly cried ! All this staying at home has resulted in my getting a lot of new jewelry made and I've been giving considerable thought to how I'm going to market it as I now have way too much for even me to wear - and I do love my jewelry! I will have a table at the Spring Market in the Tsawwassen Mall on Saturday, May 8th, 2010. This is the day before Mothers' Day and the tables will be up from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I will also have some of my smaller art pieces there so if any of you are in the area on that day please drop by the Mall. The Artisan Market in November was fun and I'm looking forward to this one as well. I am also looking into the summer markets as well and will have more to say about that later. I'm really enjoying this whole jewelry making process so much, probably because I love wearing jewelry so much myself. Even though I haven't been painting this year I have been thinking about it a lot but it means putting all the beads, etc. away and bringing out all the paints, etc. Unfortunately as I'm short on working space I can't do both at the same time. I would like to enter some more shows at the Federation Gallery so I'll have to get some new paintings done for that. I've certainly enjoyed all the mild weather, for once I'm not complaining about the depressing winter. I manage to get out and walk Sophie for one to two hours each day, except when it rains. I find these long walks really help me concentrate on what I'm doing and what I'm going to create when I get home. There are no distractions and I find I think much more clearly than at home with the TV, computer, phones, etc.

For those first-time visitors to my website I have had some pieces scanned so there are prints available which are considerably more reasonable and the quality is excellent. I can have them reproduced on canvas or on paper so if there are any paintings that you are interested in and it says SOLD please e-mail me as I may have had it scanned and can then get you a print of it. A lot of the jewelry that is currently on the site has sold but if you are interested in a particular piece please contact me and I can always make something similar for you.

For anyone interested in purchasing anything or if you have any questions or comments please e-mail me through the Contact page on this website.

Thank you for visiting my site.
